UNIONVILLE-CHADDS FORD SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUCES THE NEW UNIONVILLE ART GALA FEATURING COURTNE RETZLAFF, UHS GRADUATE
Unionville High School will host the New Unionville Art Gala which opens Friday November 21st from 7pm-10pm and Saturday November 22nd from 10am-2pm. This event will feature Courtne Retzlaff, UHS graduate in addition to many other UHS graduates who have become professional artists in the area.
Music will be provided by the jazz band Grove, also former UHS students. Hors d’oeuvres donated from local restaurants and community parents will be provided. The Art Gala will consist of 52 exhibiting artists, with artwork ranging from $25 to $25,000. This is an entirely new show, every media will be represented. Everything from metal sculpture, jewelry, blown glass, stained glass, pastel, ink, mixed media, collage, a costume design from FIT, and much more. We also have more than 60 volunteers which include adults and students working for the Gala.
Proceeds from the Gala go to support the UHS PTO, which helps with multiple schoolprojects and programs. Please support the Gala while also supporting our school! It will be a very fun night!
The purpose of the Board meeting is to consider the bids for athletic fields.
Once a month the Superintendent hosts an informal session which includes information about the district’s building program, school board actions, new curriculum, staff changes and more. Refreshments and light food will be served.
The next session is scheduled for Monday, November 24, 12-1:30pm, at the District Office (740 Unionville Rd, Kennett Square) . Because space is limited to 20, please reserve a seat by calling 610-347-0970, extension 3315 or email your reservation to fft@ucfsd.org.
